Pastor Zoe Harris- Care Minister

Our Mission
The Church Of The Firstborn B'ham Care Ministries exist to encourage people who may be experiencing difficulty and need someone to support them and  is based upon the values set out in Galatians 5.22-23 love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, fidelity, gentleness and self-control , together with compassion, humility, tolerance, forgiveness and thankfulness to God (Colossians 3.12-17).

Who We Are
The Care Ministry Leadership Team is made up of Care Ministers whose role is to develop and oversee a program to serve those in our congregation and community with needs for financial, practical and emotional support.

Who We Help
we seek to serve and minister to the sick and hurting, those without a family support network, as well as those who are in emotional and/or financial difficulty.

What We Do
We will endeavor to respond to requests for assistance, such as counselling referrals, meeting practical needs, and granting financial help when applicable and as funds will allow.

How We Help
In all circumstances, we seek to build relationships with individuals and families, so that we can help them most effectively. We commit to pray with them and encourage them spiritually and emotionally, and help them connect to Biblical community. When needs arise, we will assess each circumstance with facts and discernment on a case-by-case basis. We want to help people discover their God-given strengths and assets to help them in solving their problems. Practically speaking, the following programs are used to help us accomplish our mission

  • Visitation and Prayer Support with individuals and families
  • Counselling Referral
  • Financial Counselling through CAB
  • Friends and Food Program
  • Meal
  • Food Bank

Dorcas Fund
